Jan 8, 2009 He's home!!! The surgeon said the tumor was more embedded and the surgery was more invasive that she thought it would be. He had to spend the night, but he's home now. So, whatever the biopsy results show, my prayers have been answered. Whether we have another week or another year, Wyatt's home. My thanks and hugs to all of you!! |

Jan 7, 2009 csdesq - my thoughts are with you today. Good energy and appetite are definitely good signs, so keep up good thoughts and spirits! Pets are very much like our children, unconditional love and just absolute joy, they add so much to our lives :) Please let us know how everything goes. |

Jan 7, 2009 csdesq I never understood people and their dogs til I got my puppy and the love I felt for him was unreal and happened so fast that I became one of those people. Good luck with Wyatt and you're all in my prayers. |

Jan 7, 2009 Yihaa! My very, very first time over 50K! And losing a dog is like losing a part of yourself. I have been through it three times, twice with labs, and I still feel the loss, though it was years and years ago with the labs. Have one lab now, just 2 yrs old & healthy, though. Good luck! |

Jan 6, 2009 Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Wyatt is older than our 2 children, and the oldest of our 3 dogs, so he was my first "baby." We never had animals growing up, so this is my first experience with losing a pet. The tumor has grown a lot since last week (it's on his side, so you can see it.) But his energy level and appetite are still normal. I'm hoping those are good signs. His surgery is tomorrow, so we should have biopsy results within a week. Prayers and my thanks to all. |

Jan 6, 2009 Thanks for the help, StacyB! I appreciate the helping hand. And csdesq, I hope you and your lab do well today and tomorrow and that the outcome and recovery go better than expected. Some would say, it's just a dog, so what's the big deal, but it IS a big deal because he's part of your family! So sorry you have to go through this so early in the year. Let us know how it all works out. |
